DESCRIPTION:When the pandemic hit\, US retailers canceled clothing orders abroad\, resulting in millions of garment workers being laid off without pay or severance. On April 27\, Chhorpesal Chhom and Sreymich Hai – who were fired from Hulu Garment factory in Cambodia\, where they sewed products for Amazon and Adidas – will visit the UCLA campus to speak about the wage theft and retaliation they endured\, and the need for accountability from major brands.
