UCLA Advisory Council on Immigration Policy (ACIP)

The UCLA Advisory Council on Immigration Policy (ACIP) was established in March 2017 to analyze new federal immigration policies and their potential harmful impact on the UCLA campus community. The council is comprised of students, administrators, staff and faculty across campus departments and schools. In October 2017, Dr. Abel Valenzuela was appointed as Special Advisor to the Chancellor on Immigration Policy and chair of ACIP. In this role, he leads the efforts of ACIP to support those negatively impacted by immigration policy changes and to keep the UCLA community informed.
