Researching Individuals

Workshop Description:

Researching individuals can be complex, especially in small business environments where other forms of documentation are limited and firms can be relatively opaque. This workshop will instruct participants on how to investigate people and develop an escalation plan to pressure campaign targets. We will utilize a variety of online tools to trace business and familial networks, identify political connections, and understand one’s personal reputation. Then, we will develop an escalation plan that considers unique campaign messaging for different audiences in order to establish leverage using various stakeholders.

Workshop Leader:

Brady Collins is Policy and Research Manager at the Koreatown Immigrant Workers Alliance (KIWA) where he leads strategic campaign research and policy advocacy. He is also a political science professor at Cal Poly Pomona. He received his PhD in urban and regional planning from UCLA.
