Webscraping with Python

Workshop Description:

Labor researchers can use web scraping and other new data technologies to automate time-intensive tasks, including helping to identify workers at particular worksites. This workshop will teach you where to webscraping can be useful in campaigns, and how to use scraping and other data tools to identfy workers at a particular worksite. No prior programming knowledge is necessary.
To make the most of this applied, skills-based workshop, it is recommended that researchers have a basic, working knowledge of Python coding prior to attending.

Workshop Leader:

Brad Murray is a DC-based researcher for the AFT and graduate of the UMass Labor Center. In his spare time, he runs unionbusteralerts.com.
