Municipal Bonds & Public Capital Finance
Workshop Description:
LAPTOP RECOMMENDED
In this session, we will cover more advanced topics of public capital budgeting and finance, with a special focus on the primary source of public sector capital funds: municipal bonds. You will learn what bonds are and how they work, who the key players in the municipal bond market are, and how they intersect with the public agencies overseeing the communities where our members live and work. We will cover how to find data on municipal bonds and analyze bond statements. And we will close with a strategy discussion around possibilities for intervention in capital finance decisions for local agencies.
