Commencement

To the Labor Studies Class of 2020,

As graduation season approaches, we would like to congratulate you on your accomplishments! We are immensely proud of each one of you!

Every year since UCLA Labor Studies (formerly named Labor & Workplace Studies) was established in 2003, we have held commencement ceremonies that bring together our faculty, staff, graduating students, and their families to celebrate the momentous occasion. Although an in-person commencement won’t be possible in June for our 2020 graduates, we want to make this milestone celebration special in whatever ways we can.

This year in particular is memorable for the UCLA Labor Studies Interdepartmental Program because we are commemorating our first cohort of students graduating with a bachelor of arts degree in Labor Studies, approved in the fall of 2019; the first Labor Studies major in the UC system!

To celebrate this big accomplishment, we invite Labor Studies graduating students to fill out the following form:

We will compile your responses to share your accomplishments on our Labor Studies website and social media. We strongly encourage your participation so we can celebrate YOU!

Lastly, stay tuned and visit this page or our social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) on June 12, 2020 at 12pm as we launch a special surprise.
