Staff have access to Adobe Creative Cloud conditionally through the university. For those in need of Adobe services, there is information below how to gain access. The process must be repeated every 120 days to continue access. For those who do not need full service outside of PDF reading, there is a free Adobe application, Acrobat DC, which is freely available but has limited functions. No renewal is necessary for the limited version.

Keeping passwords is important for both personal and University security. A written password is an unwise storage choice. There are options for safe password storage. UCLA is between preferred vendors however, there are quality outside services both paid and free. None of these exterior services are endorsed nor insured by UCLA nor IRLE.

  • UCLA’s Choice: (Pending)
  • High Quality/High Price Choice: DashLane
  • Generalist Mid-Tier Choice: 1Password
  • Budget/Open Source Option: Bitwarden

IRLE email and word processing is handled through Microsoft (Word, Powerpoint, Outlook). Access to the software is based on licences stored on the university computer. Errors can occur. This section will be filled out more with time. In the case of Microsoft errors (activation/product key errors), use the form below and IT will reach out to solve the issue via remote call.

There are resources for remote working below. In general, remote devices are the property of the University and the responsibility of the user. All devices,  software and files associated with University property are to be returned upon separation unless otherwise stated.
